The North Bethlehem Fire Department serves the Elmwood Park Fire District.
We operate one firehouse, located at 589 Russell Road in the Town of Bethlehem, NY.
The Fire Department is all volunteer. Established in 1948, NBFD provides Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services to an 8-square-mile area.
We are dispatched by Town of Guilderland Emergency Services, at 154.2250 MHz.
Coming in September, we will be hosting a free open house/community day. This event is a great opportunity to bring your family to the firehouse for a grand tour. We will also be offering free cotton candy, popcorn, soda, and a bbq as well as a bouncy bounce for the kids.
Later in the year, we will be beginning our annual calendar drive. You will receive a 2006 calendar compliments of our membership.
Included in the calendar packet will be an application for our Santa deliveries. This is one of our favorite community services. Each year, you will be presented with an opportunity to invite Santa into your home for a special pre-holiday visit. He will come to your house on a scheduled day of your choosing with a gift and a smile. Since Santa's sleigh will be getting ready for the big day, we give him a ride on one of our fire trucks and escort him throughout our community.
